Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Dr Ishrat Hussain said that it was a momentous time for IBA, as JS Auditorium was the first construction at the institute's city campus since the year 1965. He thanked MJSF and Jahangir Siddiqui for their generous support towards construction and successful completion of the project. He said that IBA was not only imparting quality business education but now the institute was also offering degree programmes in the disciplines of computer science, social sciences and liberal arts.
"IBA has 50 PhD scholars, who are engaged in providing education of international standards," he added. Dr Ishrat also lauded the support of the philanthropists and donors for proving support to the institute in the construction of 14 new buildings at both main and city campuses. Mahwash & Jahangir Siddiqui Foundation in collaboration with Walkabout Foundation also distributed wheelchairs among physically challenged persons.
Speaking on the occasion, CEO MJSF Ali Siddiqui said that his organisation was the local partner of internationally recognised charitable organisation - Walkabout Foundation. He said that Walkabout Foundation was providing customised wheelchairs for disabled people. Prominent personalities of the city, businessmen and other dignitaries also attended the ceremony.
