On the second day of Corps Commander meeting on Tuesday, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif has given approval for the promotion of as many as 29 brigadiers to the rank of Major General. According to ISPR, the notifications of the promotions have been issued.

New Major General included Brigadier Ihsan, Inf, Brigadier Khalil Dar, Avn, Brigadier Tariq Qudus, CMI, Brigadier Shahzad, Ord, Brigadier Shahzad, EME, Khalid Najam, AMC, Iftikhar Pervez, AMC, and Saleem Jehangir, AMC, Brigadier Hasnat, AC, Brigadier Azhar Saleh, AC, Brigadier Abdullah Dogar, AC, Brigadier Abid Mumtaz, Arty, Brigadier Qaiser, Arty, Brigadier Shahid Kiani, Arty, Brigadier Asif, Arty (ASFC), Brigadier Aziz, Arty, Brigadier Hamood, AD, Brigadier Jamil, Engrs, Brigadier Moazzam, Engrs, Brigadier Farhan, SIGS, Brigadier Shahzad Naeem, Inf, Brigadier Majid, Inf, Brigadier Amir Abbasi, Inf, Brigadier Zafar ul Haq, Inf, Brigadier Azhar Naveed, Inf, Brigadier Zafarullah, Inf, Brigadier Asim Munir, Inf, Brigadier Fida Inf. General Raheel Sharif approved the promotional cases in the meeting attended by corps commanders, principal staff officers and other senior army officials.
