"After success of first global conference on Dairy Science Park in 2011, the department is going to organise this conference second time with the theme of developing enterprising capacity of livestock poultry farmers of Pakistan and Afghanistan," said Professor Dr Subhan Quershi, Dean of Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Sciences, Agriculture University Peshawar, while talking to this scribe here on Friday.
He said the department organised first international conference in joint collaboration with different organisations of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and federal government in 2011. "Dairy and livestock development experts from Afghanistan, Turkey, Iran, India, Bangladesh, Australia and various parts of Pakistan will attend this second conference," he added.
Dr Subhan further said that the conference would cover areas such as meat and dairy technology, poultry science, dairy science, animal health, feeding and nutrition, reproduction and genetics, entrepreneur development, Halal certification and financing.
The conference would provide an opportunity for fresh graduates to build market linkages for promotion of their business enterprises and contribute more effectively in the national development process, he added.
