Interior Minister Rehman Malik has said that the government would not stop the long march of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri. Talking to media along with Indian film actor Shatroghan Sinha and former member of Indian Parliament who called on Malik, Interior Minister said that the government had witnessed many "long and short marches".

The Minister also clarified that the purpose of his meeting with Tahir-ul-Qadri was not to negotiate with him for restraining him from the 'Long March' but to inform him about the security concerns.

Malik said that bad weather had not allowed him to travel to Lahore for a meeting with Qadri. About Pakistan-India relations, he said that the new visa regime had provided facilities to the people.

Shatroghun Sinha said that he was given respect and love in Pakistan. He further stated that Rehmand Malik was plying the role of a bridge between Pakistan and India. Sinha said that he had come to Pakistan to attend a wedding ceremony.
