The All Pakistan CNG Association (APCNGA) has alleged that government is not trying to stop the rapidly increasing theft, but destroying CNG sector. Speaking at a press conference, Ghiyas Abdullah Paracha, Chairman Supreme Council APCNGA said that CNG sector has no alternative to operate, therefore gas load-shedding should be stopped.

He also underscored the need for bringing gas prices and taxes at par with other sectors. He added that APCNGA would launch a countrywide protest from January 8 if its demands were not met. He said "from January 8 we will hold peaceful demonstrations across the country wherein transporters and masses will also participate."

The leader of the CNG sector said that politicians and bureaucracy was directly involved in the longest CNG crisis in the country's history. He said energy ministry extorted Rs 500 billion from masses and spent billions over IP, TAPI, LNG import with no results.
