Power supply to textile mills in Punjab continued with marginal fluctuations of about two hours, said industry sources. According to the industry sources, directions of the Prime Minister have been implemented in letter and spirit. However, they added, there were yet fluctuations in power supply causing production losses.

But still majority of the millers are satisfied with the situation, saying that something is better than nothing. Meanwhile, power supply to the domestic consumers has been affected immensely, witnessing two to three hours consecutive load shedding after every alternate hour. Not only the poor segments but the posh areas of the city are equally disturbed over the situation.

This sudden change in power supply to the domestic consumers has put them into a wonderland, clueless about the reasons behind the blackout for long hours. One industrial shared smilingly with the Business Recorder that his son was asking him innocently that where the electricity has suddenly disappeared. His reply was that only he knows where the light has disappeared from his house.
