The station owners through their counsel pleaded that the sale of the CNG on the prices fixed by the Ogra is not feasible. The counsel said the sale of the CNG on new prices will cause a huge financial loss to the stations'' owners. He said the OGRA and SNGPL have been harassing the petitioners and forcing them to sale the gas on the ''irrational'' prices. Petitioners'' counsel prayed to the court to restrain the respondents from taking coercive measures against them.
Opposing the petitions, counsel for SNGPL argued that the matter is sub-judice before Supreme Court. He said the gas prices were reduced on the order of the apex court but the CNG stations'' owners did not want to pass the benefit to masses. He further said the closing of the gas filling stations is an illegal and immoral act.
