The 28th death anniversary of most famous and stylish romantic hero in Pakistani films history, Waheed Murad, is observed on Wednesday to pay tribute to this legendary actor. Waheed Murad was born on October 2, 1938 in Karachi and he belonged to a wealthy family at Sialkot.

His father was a popular film distributor in Karachi. When Waheed Murad had done his M. A. English in Literature, he started his career as a producer, a private news channel reported. He produced two films as producer. First one was "Insaan Badalta Hai", which was released in 1961 that was golden jubilee film, while the second one was "Jab se dekha hai tumhein", which was released in 1963. This film was also golden jubilee production.

Waheed Murad came as an actor in 1962. His first two films were 'Aulad' (1962) and 'Daamen' (1963). As co-actor, he introduced himself as hero in his production film "Heera aur Pathar" in 1964. But the Pakistani first Platinum Jubilee Urdu film 'Arman' gave him the breakthrough in 1966. This film was remarkable and its songs turned out to be very popular even these days as well. His last film was `Hero', which was released after his death in 1985.

Well-dressed Waheed with beautiful eyes was a handsome and attractive personality. He had extremely popular hairstyle. He acted in 123 feature films and earned 32 awards for his unmatchable performance Waheed Murad died of cardiac arrest in Karachi on November 23, 1983 leaving many eyes brimming with tears.
