As many as 27 parliamentarians have assets in foreign countries. The parliamentarians, who have assets aboard are: Speaker National Assembly Dr Fahmida Mirza, Finance Minister Dr Abdul Hafeez Sheikh, Interior Minister Rehman Malik, Minister for Port and Shipping Babar Khan Ghouri, Ishaq Dar of PML-N and others.

In written reply to a question in the National Assembly on Monday, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Maula Bakhsh Chandio said that Senators Tariq Azeem had assets in a foreign country (name not mentioned), Ishaq Dar in U.A.E, Babar Khan Ghauri in Dubai, Gul Muhammad Lot in Saudi Arabia, Abdul Hafeez Shaikh in UAE, Rehman Malik in UK, Muhammad Ghufran in UAE, Abdul Nabi Bangash in UAE, Azam Khan Swati in US and UAE and Adnan Khan had assets in foreign country (Name was not given).

Similarly, the members of the National Assembly, Dr Arbab Alamgir, Eng. Muhammad Tariq Khattak, Usman Khan Tarakai, Malak Azmat Khan, Munir Khan Orakzai, Muhammad Jamil Malik, Chaudhry Zahid Iqbal, Salahuddin, Dr Fahmida Mirza, Dr Talat Iqbal Mahassar, Khawaja Sohail Mansoor, Farhat Muhammad Khan, former judge Fakhar-un-Nisa Khokhar, Begum Ishrat Ashraf, Farhanaz Isphani, Asma Arbab Alamgir, Kishan Chand Parwani, Dr Arasih Kumar, Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah and Khawaja Muhammad Asif have assets and accounts in Dubai, Qatar, Holland, London, USA, UK UAE and other countries. The Minister said that that the information was prepared on the basis of data given by the parliamentarians in their annual statement of assets and liabilities for the financial year 2009-10.
