Laiq Mohammad Khan, the JUI-F candidate has won by-election held for NA-21 Mansehra-II, say unofficial results received here on Friday. According to the unofficial results, he clinched top position by securing 36,622 votes, while Zur Gul Khan of PML-Q bagged 31,762 votes in the bye election.

Haji Tahir Ali of PML-N got 29,879, Nawabzada Salahuddin of PPP received 28,230 vote, the candidate of Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) Dr Ali Asghar Shah bagged 4500 votes, and Pakistan Tehrik Insaf (PTI) Niaz Khan could only obtained 3482 votes. The Election Commission had set up 289 polling stations for electorates. The number of total registered voters in the constituency is 4,24,469, while the total vote cast was about 1,40,015. The low turn out was observed in the bye-election due to inclement weather.
