Chief of Naval Staff (CNS) Admiral Muhammad Afzal Tahir paid a farewell call on Federal Minister for Defence Chaudhry Ahmad Mukhtar, in the Ministry of Defence here on Saturday. The minister lauded the services rendered by the outgoing CNS for defence of the motherland during his long career.

The minister also appreciated the contribution made by Admiral Mohammad Afzal Tahir for strengthening and modernising the defence capability of the Naval Forces of Pakistan. Talking to the CNS, the minister said the government was taking all necessary measures to strengthen and enhance the capability of its Armed Forces, so as to effectively cope with growing challenges and ensure defence of national frontiers.
