Four UN agencies will sign their 'Country Programme Action Plans' (CPAPs) with Pakistan to carry out programmes worth $411 million during 2004-08.

By signing the Action Plans on Tuesday here, UNDP, UNFPA, Unicef and WFP would commence operations of their country programmes legally establishing commitments of technical assistance and resources.

The CPAPs of all four agencies are in the context of UN Development Assistance Framework (Undaf), which was approved by the government in 2003.

Finance Minister Shaukat Aziz would represent Pakistan at the signing ceremony alongside Dr Waqar Masood of Economic Affairs Division.

Onder Yucer, Resident Co-ordinator, would represent United Nations.
