People belonging to various walks of life including cricket lovers have hailed the decision of Pakistan Cricket Board for formulating new selection committee which would not only help promoting the domestic cricket but also constitute a capable team for forthcoming Pakistan and India cricket series.

In press statements they urged upon the new Chairman PCB that a special strategy should be formulated for providing opportunities of holding One-day and Test matches to the neglected and ignored Test centres of the country.

They added that ignorance policy, which prevails in the past, should not be repeated and existing Test centres should be given due importance.

They were of the opinion that saddest aspect of the policy of ignorance is that at the time of fixing Test matches of visiting teams in certain cities, the politics always dominated and deserving cities like Sialkot was totally ignored.

The local cricket lovers said that wicket at Jinnah stadium is one of the best and most sporting wickets available in the country, that has been arduously and painstakingly prepared.

It may be pointed out that business community of this export-oriented city and hub of cottage industries is patronising the local cricket teams and have developed their own stadiums for holding the matches. Apart from this, District Cricket Association (DCA) is functioning successfully and mobilising all resources for getting Test match during forthcoming cricket match between Pakistan and Indian cricket teams at Sialkot.
